Dolphins @ Jets on Black Friday
The NFL has found another "holiday" to have games... is it too much?
Hello World,
The world has now had a weekend to digest what the NFL schedule will bring to us: a lot of exciting matchups. But something I don’t feel is being talked about enough is the Miami Dolphins heading up to Met Life to play Aaron Rodgers and his New York Jets on November 24th, or Black Friday.
For the first time ever the NFL will have teams facing off on this “holiday” on Amazon Prime. Prime is quite the perfect partner for a game on this day and I wonder how much they will try to integrate deals into this programming.
Amazon seems extremely excited about this newest edition of its programming and will be giving it away for free. If it ends up being one giant marketing promotion for Amazon, at least they gave us some good football at no cost.
The Jets and Dolphins are one of the most storied rivalry in all of sports. The Dolphins have the edge currently being 57-56-1 against the Jets, with both teams taking a win on their home field.
This year’s matchup will be an intriguing one with two-star quarterbacks, Tua Tagovailoa and Aaron Rodgers. The last time the Dolphins faced Rodgers they fell short losing 26-20 to his then Packers. I would say this game is quite the outlier for both quarterbacks and one can only hope that Prime will put on a better show for their first divisional matchup against each other.
